Purpose of the role
The finance department of the Company consist of Accounting, Business Control, and Treasury. The mission of Business Control is to support operations with financial analysis, follow-up, and planning for the Group’s companies, products and markets. Additionally, Business Control works with monitoring projects within business development, improving financial processes, and is responsible for budgeting and forecasting. The Business Control department consist of two people, and the role reports to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the controlling department and overseeing day to day operations e.g. vacation and absence planning, identifying competency needs and development and approving team’s expenses.
- Responsible for the group’s budgeting and forecasting.
- Develop and be responsible for monthly board and management reporting regarding the Company and the Group.
- Perform monthly analysis and follow-up of the Group’s products, cost centers, companies, and geographical areas.
- Drive improvement projects in operationally related financial areas, such as identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes, preferably with the help of BI tools.
- Analyze product profitability and prepare decision-making material; support business development with profitability analysis and financial planning. In addition provide ad hoc financial analysis and forecasting.
- Responsible for generating data-driven reports/analysis/controls and decision support using Power BI.
- Ensure the profitability of the company’s customers is monitored and that agreements are followed.
- Provide support to the Accounting departments in matters related to operations and process flows.
