Bank at core, innovation at heart
Nordiska is a bank offering a complete range of financial services, allowing us to tailor solutions to each customer while simultaneously enabling them to gain access to advanced financial technology. Part of our offering is our Embedded platform, enabling enterprise partners across Europe to seamlessly integrate financial services – including saving, lending, and payments – into innovative product offerings. Additionally, we provide corporate and real estate financing, as well as sustainable savings with a government-backed deposit guarantee.
To meet future demands, we continuously scale our modern technology platform, expand partner integrations, and accelerate product innovation to help shape the future of financial services.
Working at Nordiska
Since our founding, we have been committed to driving innovation and creating meaningful impact. We work towards an ambitious vision and goals, backed up by our history of successfully delivering high-quality results and sustainable growth.
Historically and going forward, the people working at Nordiska are what enables our success. We balance our professional environment with an entrepreneurial mindset, always acting with honesty and responsibility, to build long-term trust among customers, partners and employees.
About the Role
As Senior Compliance Officer, you will help develop and strengthen Nordiska’s approach to regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF). Working closely with the business and management, you will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear assessments and practical guidance across AML/CTF, consumer protection and payment services. At the intersection of regulation, technology and business development, you will combine integrity with commercial understanding to challenge constructively, set clear expectations and contribute to sustainable solutions.
In the role, you will:
Interpret and assess regulatory requirements, providing expert advice and guidance to the business and management.
Identify and assess compliance risks in existing operations and in the development of new products, services and partnerships.
Review and monitor compliance with external regulations and internal requirements.
Develop policies and other governance documents, recommending improvements to working practices and controls.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their implications for the bank.
Deliver training and communicate complex regulatory matters in a clear, practical and accessible way.
Your Professional Profile
You are analytical, pragmatic and confident in your professional judgement. You can distinguish material risks from minor deviations and provide well-founded recommendations, including where regulations leave room for interpretation.
You collaborate effectively and have the integrity to stand by your assessments when needed. With a strong understanding of the business, you focus on working with others to anticipate and prevent problems, taking a proactive approach to compliance.
You thrive in an environment where you can take ownership, contribute your expertise and help shape how a modern bank manages regulatory compliance.
We believe that you have:
Several years of experience in complex regulatory compliance work, preferably within banking or other financial services.
In-depth knowledge and practical experience of AML/CTF requirements.
Strong knowledge and practical experience of consumer protection regulations, along with a good understanding of payment services regulations.
Experience independently handling complex AML/CTF and consumer protection matters, translating regulatory requirements into clear assessments and practical guidance.
A relevant academic degree in law, economics or a related field, or equivalent expertise.
Experience within the payments sector, which would be an advantage.
